

Spanner Clockwork.The streets of Pental, a small town somewhere no one has ever seen before, were as usual filled with sounds of ticking and clouds of smoke as the residents went about their days. The cobblestones were wet looking but dry to the touch and the skies seemed close to pouring rain upon everyone standing below them, but never let a drop fall. It was a very strange little town, with even stranger people, knowing no end to the town and no beginning. You were either in Pental, or you were not in Pental. That was simply how it was, but the town was far from simple in itself. Grey was the main colour of dress, with black accents, which seemedSpanner Clockwork.


Acting a lie.The velvet rises the lights blare, Over our masked faces, Stage smiles fixed on,Acting a lie.
We glitter in our own charade, For entertainment and to fool, Make them believe we are real,
If only we could too.
All this is just a show, It's a lie but who cares?
We dance in place,
The masks shift to match,
We are liars, In a glorified sense, But still we lie and still we jest, Until the velvet falls again, The sound all ceases, We're alone again, Look at us now, We do not smile, Faces fall as smiles come off, Makeup turns,
